A jury scam is reportedly making the rounds, where residents are contacted by phone and threatened with arrest — and Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard is telling residents to not fall for it.
“Just hang up,” Bouchard said.
The scammers claim to be law enforcement representatives, falsely telling people they’re in trouble for not showing up for jury service, and then demanding money.
